
The objective of the reading camp is to get them reading, engaging in thought and openly sharing. Campers will journal daily, participate in group and individual reading, write short stories and poetry, share during book reviews, partake in reading scavenger hunts and demonstrate their creativity with open mic. Items such as stickers, bookmarks, popcorn party or bubble gum day.

Readers will be given incentives or awards for reading achievements. Campers will be challenged to read as many books as possible before the start of the next school year. We are committed to educating individuals and raising awareness about the challenges of illiteracy. Our core belief is that literacy is a basic right for everyone. This reading camp will get students to read in fun and unique ways. This camp will focus on using the Code Z Amazon Cyber Robotics Challenge curriculum.


Computer programming terms and concepts such as data types, decision structures, and looping will be introduced to the scholars. CAMP DESCRIPTION: At the end of the five-days Hands-On Introduction to Robotics Summer Camp, students will be able to create and design various projects in terms of programming different robots to perform various tasks.
